What we collect
When you send a story, we receive what you type: what you do, the story, and a pen name and email address only if you give them. We use them to read your story, to publish an edited version if you said we could, and to tell you when it’s up.
What gets published
Only the story and the pen name, after we’ve edited out anything that could identify you, your workplace or the people you work with. Your email address is never published.
Analytics
This site uses privacy-friendly analytics that doesn’t use cookies or collect personal information. It counts visits and which pages are popular.
Who we share it with
Nobody. We don’t sell or share what you send. Stories reach us through an email service acting on our behalf.
How long we keep it
Stories we don’t publish are deleted within a year. Published ones stay up until you ask us to take them down.
Your choices
To see, correct or delete what you’ve sent, or to have a published story taken down, email us at the address below. Tell us the pen name and roughly when you sent it.
